Amber Rae Lashway
Featured Ensemble Vocalist Amber Rae Lashway, Lyric Soprano earned her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pa. She has been performing since age 8, joining every chorus and music ensemble she could for most of her pre-college career. She first took interest in teaching music performance with her High school drama department, often teaching & tutoring her fellow cast mates for the school shows as well as performing in them. She was a featured soloist and cantered masses at St. Jude's Church along with recording two charity cd's for St. Jude's Rosarian Society.
While at the University Amber studied various different types of vocal music including jazz, folk, New Orleans jazz/blues, Hindi pop, afro pop, Brazilian jazz, oratorio, art song, French pop, musical theater, and opera. She also focussed on conducting, private vocal lesson teaching, acting, performance meditation, piano, and French, German, Latin(Italian and German dialects), and Italian diction.
Amber is now a vocal teacher at the Original Music School in Cedar Knolls, NJ. Along with teaching she is pursuing her recording and performance career in classical, jazz, and contemporary music. The Baptist: a Rock Opera CD is Available! |
