Bill Blois
Zachary (John's Father) Bill Blois, the owner and lead instructor at Pompton Music Inc. Primary instruction is guitar, but also highly proficient teacher of the banjo, piano, voice and percussion instruments.
For the past thirty-five years Blois has been active in many aspects of the musical field including director, teacher, composer and performer.
Blois has performed in more than 29 states and has appeared at many clubs and establishments. In addition, Blois has written and performed over 100 original songs in a variety of styles. His versatility allows him to interpret his emotions and life experiences through his guitar.
Blois is an expert professional musician with extensive in-depth experience teaching musical theory and practice. He demonstrates strengths in both one-on-one and group instruction, including introductory-level as well as very advanced students. He has trained numerous students who became music majors at institutions such as Berklee College of Music, Rutgers University, and William Paterson University. He has also trained many local first-place winners of high school and middle school talent contests. Several students were “repeat winners”. Blois takes pride in knowing some of his students went on to become professional entertainers and musicians, often arranging and presenting original and “cover” works.
Currently Blois is performing as lead guitar, lead singer and arranger for his band Bittersweet, a rock/jazz band. Blois is also available for solo work.
